Conversion Optimization Pearls of Wisdom: a click is a 'yes'

You know when you are reading and you come across a few sentences that give you that jolt of inspiration? The ‘a-ha’ moment. Or even just a validation of something you know to be true. Words that ring true. Here’s one of those pearls of wisdom from Bryan & Jeffrey Eisenberg in Call to Action, pg 174:

Think about it—the only physical action your visitors can take is to click. They click to enlarge, they click to go somewhere else, they click to search, they click to select stuff, they click to fill in forms. What else is there for them to do? Your job is to make it easy for them to click….Make it easy to say yes (click).
