Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 11:52AM Our second #CROchat was just as much fun and insightful as the first one on May 4th. A huge thank you to everyone for joining us, especially our most active participants: @RobCGM, @SharonMostyn, @GatzSEO
, @JoshSummerhays, @Robert_Brady, @Kaitlyn07 and @Sarahd23. You guys are the best!
Once again an awesome mix of people showed from different professional backgrounds to share how they contribute to conversion rate optimization. Here are five key takeaways that came out of our second #CROchat:
- Adding video to landing pages can dramatically increase conversions.
- Not testing at all, not using the results that your tests yield, and pulling the plug too early on tests all equate to a lot of guesswork.
- Monitoring Average Order Value (AOV) helps show the quality not just quantity of online sales.
- Data transparency works when it’s understandable by all and impartial; filtered data is always skewed.
- Getting the executive team on board is vital for across the board support.
All of us at ion are excited for the next Twitter chat coming this Thursday (tomorrow) at 1pm EST. If you have a discussion topic, feel free to send it our way in advance so we can bring it up!
PS: We’ve found TweetChat to be one of the best ways to keep up with the posts in real time.
