Landing page people, processes and tools (why you need processes and tools)

And now a word from our sponsor. This is a post about why you need a landing page management platform….so yes, it is self serving, but I still think you will find it interesting if you manage landing pages now.

I was on a call with a prospect last week going over some technical requirements for her landing pages (all the fun stuff that make landing pages so damn interesting—tracking codes, data formats, exports, etc). She is psyched to start using LiveBall to create & test her landing pages, and this call was just to review some of the final details. As the call was coming to a close she said something that crystalizes why organizations need processes & tools to support their landing page people. Here’s what she said:

If I hadn’t found LiveBall, I would have to hire two full time developers this year.

I can tell you with 100% certainty, what she is going to invest in her LiveBall subscription is nowhere near what she would have to spend on two full-time staffers. Not even close.

Likewise, yesterday I was on a call with a CEO of a 49-person company who relies heavily on landing pages to drive revenue for their organization. He has 6 people devoted to landing page management. Based on what they are doing now, I anticipate they should be able to at least double the output of the landing page team by using the LiveBall platform to automate processes for creation, launch, testing and optimization.

If you use landing pages for PPC, email, display, social, direct, (or even SEO!) then a landing page platform will save you resources. Or help your resources get more done. Either way, it makes a lot of sense.
