Mythbusting for landing pages: the slide deck

Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of joining the panel for Mythbusting PPC Urban Legends at SMX Advanced, where I shared my top 3 myths surrounding landing pages:

  • A landing page is a single page (not always — multi-step paths can perform better).
  • Flash on landing pages is evil (not if it’s done right — it can be angelic).
  • Multivariate testing (MVT) is better than A/B testing (it’s not — 2 very different tools).

It was an enthusiastic and lively session. The slide deck doesn’t do justice to the live debate, but it does offer a glimpse of where the conversation started:
