Post-Click Marketing Review: Week of June 12th

  • PPCHero has a great overview of the New Google AdWord’s Conversion Tracking Metrics, and they breakdown the difference between many-per-click and 1-per-click conversions.
  • Pablo Palatknik put together 7 tips for improving your search marketing performance during tough times. Great tips, and we would add an important one to the list: don’t forget to optimize for conversions, as well.
  • eMarketer reports that SEO, email, and PPC/search (in that order) are the most effective online marketing tactics for conversions. Scott had a few thoughts on this report, right here on our blog.
  • Finally, if you haven’t tested running campaigns on Bing yet, it’s worth the investment. Traffic on Bing is lower, so it will take longer to get results on your landing page tests, but if you test your landing pages at the traffic source level (our best practice), you can aquaint yourself with the Bing audience, and by using user-directed segmentation, find out if & how they’re different than the Google audience.
