Passing Data Into LiveBall on the Query String

LiveBall will automatically write data passed in on the query string to a respondent’s record. Using LiveBall’s advanced rules, you can also leverage that data to personalize, customize or otherwise affect the user experience. LiveBall customers often use query string data to pre-populate forms, affect content based on search engine keywords, and pass in unique identifiers used to match up records in exports.

Exchanging Data Using a Web Service

On the fly, LiveBall can read an identifier off of the incoming query string, pass that ID to an external customer web service, and receive data back via XML. This lets customers pass back — in real time prior to the first page rendering — personalization data that LiveBall can use to affect the display of the page. Any data can be exchanged using this method — letting LiveBall behave dynamically within a customer’s ever-changing, data-driven world.

Depending on your export needs, you may want to schedule when they happen and how they’re distributed. Indicate when the export should run using a checklist of options. If you need to distribute exports via email, it’s easy to make that happen as well.
